What would go well with a green sweater if going for a preppy look?

I’m a dark-skinned male with dark eyes and I’m going for a preppy look. I’m planning on buying a “deep forest” sweater, which is essentially a green but I don’t know what color polo or Oxford to wear under it. Also, I don’t know what pants or shoes to wear with them. Keep in mind I’m going for a preppy look and I’m black. Thanks in advance

Go with either a deep cream coloured polo or a maroon. Wear skinny jeans that aren’t like super tight but narrow at the ankle like a good fit skinny and they should be a dark wash. And converse.
