Recycling Textbooks

where should I recycle college textbooks in California?
* Salvation Army
* Ask around to anyone who may need any of your books..or ask friends who may know someone who may be interested (college books are pricey so I can’t imagine a college student turning down a free text book that s/he could use)
* Try Craigslist.com and put it under the “Free” category (so if you don’t mind holding on to them for a while more…wait till someone contacts you to pick them up)
* Local library…ask if they could use college text books
* At your college bookstore, there should be a bin for students to donate unwanted textbooks (atleast they had one in my college’s bookstore)…if you’re not sure, ask and they will tell you how you can recycle them…they generally donate them to underprivledged students from what I hear : ).
* If you litereally want to recycle the books then there’s always a local recylcing center you can ask.
Hope this helps & I’m so glad you’re choosing to recycle instead of just discarding your textbooks! : )
