What Is Sustainability For Kids

Which internship should I do next semester?
I can do either food sustainability internship which is working in an urban farm or working in an afterschool program with inner city kids. I can do only one but both sound appealing. I am a psych major but I’m not sure n what I want to do after college. I’m not so sure if I am willing to work with kids because I had past experience tutoring and it was horrid. I can do the food sustainability internship but I don’t know how to move farther in that. Which internship should I go with/ BTW, this is my last semester in college so I can’t do both. Both of them are unpaid because they are for class credit.
It may be more beneficial to do the after school program with children who reside in the inner city to actually give you “people” experience. At least you would have something to put on your resume to show you actually have some field experience working with children.
I am not sure whether you are earning your undergraduate or graduate degree, but as a side note, I would highly encourage you to start doing some online job searches to see what is out there because as you know, your graduation date is soon! I like the job search Indeed http://www.indeed.com
I personally feel that Universities need to be doing a better job of exposing their students to the jobs out there, and not leaving them not knowing what they want to do! The job force in today’s economy is competitive….so the more homework you do on what is out there, the better prepared you will be to meet the demands.
Best wishes in your future endeavors!
