Modular Homes: Eco-Friendly and Economical Method of Construction

Modular homes have brought revolution in the traditional methods of construction in order to construct home within months. People no longer have to wait to possess their dream home as modular homes are available at a single call. These homes are built in much lesser time than the traditional onsite-built home.

These homes are constructed by engineers in parts, which are later assembled at the site. Designed keeping in mind various factors, these homes are easy to install and portable. These are assembled at the site with the help of heavy cranes, which in turn require large number of workforce. Along with the support of workforce, the entire process is also monitored by the home builder. Building a modular home is cheaper than building a traditional house, which can be installed at the desired site conveniently. The site is visited by experts before beginning the construction, who analyze the space available, weather condition, transportation cost and budget requirements.

At first, various sections of the home are created and are then packaged in low weights for trucks and trailers to carry them. These pieces are smaller in size and occupy less amount of space. The builders put these pieces together and complete the construction of building at the site. After assembling, finishing is done including laying out the concrete, varnishing the joined parts, providing plumbing connection and varied other processes. Due to easy to assemble feature, these homes are widely used for several purposes and are popular in remote areas. Moreover, these are also popular in disaster prone areas. Modular homes are used as a construction camp, school, military housing facility, industrial plant and medical camp.

Home builders build these homes as per client’s needs and requirements and assure the flexibility for interior and exterior designing. The effective functionality of these homes has gained them prominence in the market. Off-site construction is the latest trend and many churches, health care facilities, fast food restaurants and cafes are being constructed by the home builder. The use of cement and bricks has been reduced and construction under controlled environment and smooth flow of work are preferred.

Manufacturing of parts is monitored minutely at every step so that there are no hassles during the assembling of parts. These homes are not only preferred because of their easy to construct feature but are also used for an optimized construction process which requires minimum material.
